Y2 Amazing Oracy Skills

This term as part of our learning about Handa’s surprise we took part in a debate. We thought about why the animals might have stolen the fruit and came up with our own ideas. Next we thought about whether the animals should have stolen the fruit and thought about arguments for and against the animals taking the fruit.

We then created a class mind map of arguments for and against. After that, we had a debate and argued backward and forwards in a concise way. Finally, we created our own PEE paragraph (point/evidence/explain) by using everything we had learned that week and deciding our own viewpoint about whether the animals were right or wrong to take the fruit.
Y2, your oracy skills were amazing, well done!
