Meet your teachers
My name is Mrs Peach and I have been teaching within Wickersley Partnership Trust for 10 years. I will be teaching in our class on Mondays and Tuesdays. My favourite subject is maths and I enjoy dancing, singing and spending time outside. I live with my husband, Mr Peach and our 16-month-old son, Edward. He is very cheeky and loves to dance too! I will be telling you lots of stories about him! I am looking forward to our year ahead and finding out all about you!
Hi! My name is Mrs Booth and I have taught at Aston Hall J&I School for 19 years. I live with my husband, two children and dog (a cockerpoo called Gracie). In my spare time, I often take my children to their activities; my son loves football and cricket while my daughter does swimming, gymnastics and dancing. I also love to read, go for walks and bike rides as well as spending time with friends. I love to travel to new places and before I started teaching, I travelled around Australia and New Zealand for a year I was even brave enough to do a skydive and two bungee jumps! I will be teaching you all at the end of the week (Wednesday to Friday).
Meet your Teaching Assistants
Areas of Learning
Our learning will cover Living Things, the Peak District and Anglo-Saxons. We will also be reading Stig of the Dump as our class novel.
Our topics are Earth and Space, capital cities and Vikings. Our final term’s learning will cover Plants, Technology and the World, Ancient Egypt, as well as a geographical study of Egypt. In Maths, we will do Times Tables Rockstars at least 4 times a week in order to learn all of our times tables to improve our speed and recall of these facts.
Our Class Dojo page will be updated regularly with messages, dojo points and photo updates. Homework and spellings will be given on Fridays each week and will need to be handed in the following Tuesday.
Once our PE days have been confirmed, we will let you know when these are; we will have one indoor and one outdoor slot. Please ensure your PE kit is in school (hung on your peg) every day. You will sometimes need wellies as we use the Wild Area for learning, and reward time but we will let you know about this in advance.
