The Fashion Industry in Y3

Recently, Y3 have been diving into the world of fashion and design, learning all about the iconic British designer Vivienne Westwood and the bold impact she made on the fashion industry. Known for her rebellious spirit and boundary-pushing style, Westwood’s work inspired the children to think creatively and express themselves through design.

After learning about her, the class took on the exciting challenge of designing and creating their very own Vivienne Westwood-inspired t-shirts. Everyone planned their design carefully – considering the colours, symbols, and messages they wanted to express, just like Viv would have done.

Painting on fabric is no easy task! The children had to stretch the fabric tightly and use their outlines carefully to ensure clean, eye-catching designs. Despite the challenge, everyone rose to the occasion, demonstrating fantastic focus and determination.

Well done, Year 3!
