Column addition is now cracked, and let’s now flip the method . Instead of increasing the number, let’s decrease the number by using subtraction.
Y3/4 love a practical Maths lesson by slightly tweaking the column addition method by removing the counters they were able to work systematically to complete the challenging subtraction questions…tomorrow we lose the counters – we can do this!
