Y5/6 Earthquakes in Geography

In Geography, Year 5/6 have been learning about natural disasters, with a focus on earthquakes. To deepen their understanding, pupils used Lego to model how the movement of tectonic plates causes earthquakes.

They explored the different types of plate boundaries – convergent, divergent and transform – and investigated how each type of movement impacts the environment around fault lines. This hands-on activity really helped bring the learning to life.

Well done, Year 5/6!
