Y1 are really enjoying their new reading comprehension text, Little Red by Bethan Woollvin. The children were very excited when the new book was revealed earlier this week. They used the front cover and blurb to make thoughtful predictions, learned more about the author – who lives in Sheffield – and discussed her effective use of colour throughout the story.
Everyone shared some fantastic inferences and ideas during their discussions, and they are already looking forward to reading more next week!
