Y1 have had a fantastic start to the new school year! Pupils have been busy getting to know each other, their teachers and their new classroom. In Art, they created their own self-portraits, while in Maths they have been developing their counting skills. They have also been working hard on their letter formation using their new handwriting books. They love visiting the library on a Friday and enjoying lots of wonderful stories together too!
Next week, pupils will begin their group reading sessions. Each child will receive a phonics book and a new reading record to support their reading at home and at school. It has been fantastic to see how well everyone has settled in, and there is lots more to look forward to!
