Outdoor Club!

Over the past year, Aston Hall’s Outdoor Club has been doing an amazing job learning how to grow and enjoy their own produce! The group has planted, nurtured, and harvested a fantastic range of vegetables – including potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, pumpkins, and tomatoes.

This brilliant project also ties in with Wickersley Partnership Trust’s Sustainability Promise, which encourages students to care for their environment, understand where their food comes from, and make sustainable choices. The Outdoor Club has embraced this fully, showing just how rewarding growing your own produce can be!

Students didn’t stop there – they put their harvest to good use by making delicious homemade soup and even took some of their produce home to share with family. Some used their ingredients to make garlic bread, carrots in stew, and mashed potatoes.

A selection of their fresh produce was proudly displayed in reception last term for everyone to admire.
