Y5 Science

Recently in Science, Y5 explored thermal insulation by testing different materials to see which kept water hot the longest, carefully taking measurements and recording their results. They also investigated solutions by dissolving and recovering solids such as salt and sugar, while learning about irreversible changes.

Pupils enjoyed hands-on experiments when separating mixtures, using sieves, funnels, and evaporation to separate materials like sand, gravel, and dissolved solids. Well done, Y5!
