A huge congratulations to Ayva in Year 5, who has shown incredible resilience and determination to achieve outstanding success in gymnastics. After suffering a serious ACL injury during the summer holidays last year, Ayva underwent major surgery and spent months attending hospital appointments and physiotherapy. Despite being away from gymnastics for five months, she returned with a positive attitude, working hard to rebuild her strength and confidence.
Her dedication has certainly paid off. Ayva was recently named Hardest Working Gymnast at her club’s awards evening before going on to win gold in both Floor and Vault, as well as becoming Overall Champion at the Yorkshire Regional Championships. She then repeated this incredible achievement at the Yorkshire Finals, once again winning both events and being crowned Yorkshire Champion. Everyone at Aston Hall is incredibly proud of Ayva and her fantastic achievements. What an inspiring example of resilience, determination, and hard work!
