This morning, Year 1 enjoyed making and tasting delicious cucumber sandwiches using cucumbers they had grown themselves! Their growing journey began back in February, when they planted the cucumber seeds. Once the plants were strong enough, they carefully transferred them to the school allotment, where they continued to look after them until they were ready to harvest.
Earlier this term, the children also used their home-grown produce to make refreshing mojito mocktails for the Summer Fayre, and today they were delighted to enjoy their freshly made sandwiches. Well done, Y1!
