Earlier this week, 10 children were lucky enough to be selected to attend the Parkour Festival at NovaCity Rotherham.
The event provided an exciting opportunity for our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils to explore Parkour in a safe and structured environment, led by qualified NovaCity coaches. Children were introduced to core Parkour skills – such as vaulting, jumping, landing, wall work, and bar work – in a fun, energetic, and supportive setting. This year’s festival also added a competitive twist to boost teamwork and motivation, along with an exciting breakdancing session delivered by an instructor from Creactive Urban Activities Ltd.
Across the week, 100 children took part. One of the key challenges involved attempting ‘The Wall’ in order to progress to the ‘Big Wall’. We are thrilled to share that four of our pupils won the challenge, and from those, two went on to place their stickers right at the highest point of the ‘Big Wall’.
It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
