This week, pupils took some time out to explore the work of one of Sheffield’s most well-known artists, Pete McKee. They were lucky to take part in a drawing workshop led by Tom Blackwell, one of our school governors, where they practised pen and pencil sketching techniques.
Using these new skills, the children studied Pete McKee’s artwork before creating their own drawings inspired by his distinctive style.
We also welcomed parents and carers into school to view the finished artwork, and the event even helped raise funds to invite another artist to visit the school in the future.
We are incredibly proud of our talented artists – it’s wonderful to see what can be achieved through hard work, time and patience. Well done, Aston Hall!
