This morning, EYFS had a fantastic time at the allotment, where they became little farmers on a mission to dig up the carrots they’ve been watching grow.
The children used their senses and physical skills as they searched for the feathery leaves, pulled the carrots from the soil, and discovered lots of funny shapes and sizes. This hands-on experience helped them learn about where food comes from and how plants grow, as well as the importance of sun and rain. They’re now looking forward to preparing their carrots and making a tasty snack later this week!
