Our students showed their energy and community spirit on Friday 13th March as they took part in a sponsored danceathon! Dressed in bright neon colours, they took to the dancefloor in the hall to raise vital funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
We’re super proud that we raised over £1300!
The event was organised as part of the Pride of Yorkshire Project – a regional initiative that encourages schools and community groups to support children’s healthcare through creative fundraising efforts.
Throughout the day, our children participated in dedicated sessions by key stage dancing non-stop for 30 minutes at a time, with a DJ and music provided by Streetbeat Entertainment. We must say, there were some very impressive moves!
In the afternoon, parents and carers were invited to join the celebration, and we had an overwhelming turnout.
The funds raised will contribute to the ongoing work of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, helping to provide vital care and support for young patients and their families.
Our Headteacher, Mr Holmes, said: “We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their enthusiasm and commitment during our recent fundraiser. The danceathon was a fantastic way to bring our school community together while raising money for a worthy cause.”
Thank you to all of the parents and carers who took part in our danceathon, and to everyone who donated!
